I am sure you are already familiar with my love for avocado. Most of my recipes have an avocado in one form or the other. Kale is another ingredient I am trying to incorporate in most of my newer recipes. Besides using kale in this breakfast smoothie, I am planning to make kale chips!
Let’s talk about kale. This is one of the newest ingredients for me that I have started using recently. I tried to eat it as part of raw salad but I am not yet used to eating it raw. So I decided to make it part of my smoothies. Kale is packed with Vitamin A, C, K, Protein and Fiber.
My main purpose to add avocado to my smoothies is the fact that it makes them so much more creamier and thick. I don’t have to add yogurt to do so. Of course it has so many other health benefits that it’s hard not to add it to my healthy version of these smoothies.
I also add apple to add sweet flavor to this energy boosting breakfast smoothie. I make sure to add some kind of sweet fruit so that it can balance the avocado and kale flavor. These three ingredients make this one energy boosting breakfast smoothie that is also dairy free!
